Journey Overview

From imperial India to the sacred river.

This journey extends the Golden Triangle into the cultural heart of North India. Delhi, Jaipur and Agra establish the great imperial narratives; Gwalior and Orchha reveal a quieter medieval landscape; Khajuraho introduces the sophistication of Chandela temple art; Varanasi brings the journey to its most spiritual and human conclusion.

The route is deliberately sequenced so that the great monuments do not become a checklist. Each chapter changes the mood, and the final Delhi night protects the international departure after two immersive days beside the Ganges.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Chapter 1 — Delhi
Day 1

Day 1 — Arrive in Delhi — A Gentle Beginning

On Arrival

After baggage collection, your Delhi host meets you and confirms the practical details for the sacred North India journey, including luggage handling and the first departure towards the Ganges corridor and pilgrimage towns.

Private Transfer

Transfer privately to a quiet central Delhi hotel. The drive is intentionally left unscripted, allowing Delhi to register as an arrival rather than a compressed sightseeing session.

First Evening

After check-in, the remainder of the day is protected for sleep and adjustment. A gentle walk near the hotel is added only when the flight timing and your energy support it.

Why This Pace Works

The opening day is intentionally light, leaving you rested for a full day exploring Delhi.

Cross from New Delhi’s avenues into Shahjahanabad by cycle rickshaw, linking Jama Masjid, Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Chandni Chowk to the religious layers that connect Delhi with the sacred north.

Evening

Return to the hotel after the old city, or use the remaining energy for Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in the evening when energy and timing make the visit meaningful; the decision is kept flexible until the day itself.

Today’s Character
